BMW IBSF World Cup and World Championships
Synonymous with speed and exhilaration, bobsleigh and skeleton racers put their skills to the test at the BMW IBSF World Championships held annually in non-Olympic years, showcasing all disciplines over two weekends in February. Similarly, the BMW IBSF World Cup attracts viewers from November/December to February/March to watch top athletes speed through a series of eight adrenaline-charged races.
World’s first sliding sport
The Olympic disciplines of bobsleigh and skeleton, once a ‘niche’ sport, now attract a global audience which has increased significantly in the last few years. The events deliver a commercial platform to a limited number of partners that covers both IBSF leading events – the BMW IBSF World Cup and BMW IBSF World Championships. Comprehensive packages ensure strong visibility in and out of camera view through banners along the track, logos on bibs and helmets and product placement opportunities onsite at the winter village and fan tent. A clear brand message is guaranteed alongside VIP tickets and a hospitality contingent.
Brand visibility from every angle
Supplying a highly polished broadcast production, programming is offered in HD 1080 16/9 format filmed by up to 30 cameras covering the action along the track. With strong TV viewership in Germany, Russia, Switzerland, Canada, Latvia, China and others, the 2015/16 competitions were broadcast in 15 countries and reached a cumulative audience of 575 million watching a total of almost 1,500 broadcast hours.
